Abstract
Due to the rising concerns regarding Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) contamination, the City of Dover wanted to create a sampling program to examine environmental concentrations of PFAS within the municipality. The team created and implemented a sampling plan in which surface water, stormwater, rainwater, and wastewater were sampled throughout Dover. The team then analyzed the results to characterize current PFAS concentrations in Dover waters and wastewaters. Using the results of the initial sampling round, the team made long-term sampling recommendations to the City of Dover for longer term monitoring of PFAS throughout the municipality.
