Graduate Education: A Model for Career DiversificationWhat Can You Be With a Graduate Degree?

Graduate education traditionally prepares students for careers in academia (e.g, professoriate). However, the limited availability of academic positions creates the need for revising how and for what we prepare graduate students. This poster shares results from a three-part study where the question of communication support is explored through three different lenses- the structure of communication support, the perception of graduate students and Graduate School officials on how communication support can benefit students in career diversification. Recommendations for how the support should be provided are shared.
