Abstract

This project is a 3D virtual model of the Combined Heat and Power Plant located on UNH campus. The power plant is significant to the campus because it accounts for 85% of the campuses power. However, there is not much online knowledge of the plant, and we wanted to find a way for the public to learn more of how the campus gets its power and heating. To solution for this was to create an accessible and convenient way to view and learn about the inside of the Combined Heat and Power Plant at UNH in the form of a virtual reality tour. The process to create the 3D environment was to take scans of the inside of the power plant itself. Using the scans, it can be converted into 3D models and be imported into a virtual reality engine to conduct the tours in.
