Abstract
This project demonstrates the development of a high-performance CoreXY 3D printer intended to push the boundaries of desktop additive manufacturing. To achieve this, the printer utilizes off-the-shelf components and 3D-printed parts, along with open-source hardware and firmware control. This approach enables higher levels of tuning compared to traditional desktop machines. Performance is further enhanced through resonance compensation and targeted mechanical design, with validation performed using accelerometer-based frequency response analysis. Additionally, rapid prototyping is used to iterate on components to achieve effective functionality. As a result, the system demonstrates stable operation at 15,000 mm/s² accelerations and 500 mm/s printing speeds while maintaining print quality.
