Abstract

The MyPE Platform aims to provide high quality physical education to middle schoolers through the use of online classrooms. The way this works is through the use of both student and teacher accounts. When creating an account, a user can choose to register with the student or teacher role, which will give them different privileges. The teacher accounts are granted the ability to create classrooms, and the students can then join these classrooms using a generated classroom code. Once a teacher has students in their classroom, they can browse the lesson library, a collection of materials spread across 33 topics and split into 6 units. Any one of these materials can be assigned to students in a classroom, along with a due date. Students within these classrooms will then see these assignments, and be able to mark them as complete, while also being able to submit any of their own documents for the teacher to view. There is also the ability for teachers to attach videos to their assignments or also assign surveys for students to fill out. This project heavily relies on the student and teacher interaction features to function correctly and aims to be as efficient as possible.
