Abstract
This project revolves around the redesign of an existing three-way intersection in the Village of Contoocook, Town of Hopkinton, New Hampshire. This intersection of New Hampshire Route 103, Kearsarge Avenue, and Pine Street has a confusing layout and is dangerous for all users. This comprehensive redesign focused on improving traffic flow, improving vehicular and pedestrian safety, and maintaining the existing character of the area. Additionally, the team was tasked with keeping projects costs low, maintaining existing access to the adjacent fire station and restaurant, and reducing impacts to abutting properties.
