Abstract
This poster discusses the gaps in knowledge regarding suicidal thoughts and ideations in the intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) population. The poster includes figures on the suicide rate in NH, current legislation relevant to suicide prevention efforts, the risk factors for suicidal ideation for individuals with IDD, and what the future of suicide prevention should look like when working with this population.
