Abstract

Understanding room occupancy is crucial for efficient space management. Our project, OccuPi, is designed to address this issue by providing real-time occupancy tracking. We’ve developed an IoT-based system that uses Raspberry Pi's with cameras to monitor rooms. Paired with a backend system utilizing Flask, Socket IO and SQLite for real-time updates and data accessibility. This system allows us to visualize occupancy trends through scatter plot analysis, providing valuable insights into space utilization.
