Abstract
The device that was built was a circuit designed to distort the sound produced by an electric guitar. This was done using capacitors, resistors, a transistor, a variable resistor and several different diode configurations. The device was then connected to audio jacks to be used with standard guitar equipment. The device creates a noticeable fuzzy distortion to the clean default tone of the guitar. The varying amounts of diodes impact the level of distortion and specific sound it produces.
