Title:

Optimally Assigning Experimental Units to Treatment Groups

Video

Abstract

Sometimes, in biology, ecology, and other related disciplines, researchers must assign experimental units, such as trees or dairy cows, to treatment groups before setting out a study or an experiment. This is often done randomly. Here, a method for performing treatment group assignments is proposed that systematically reduces bias from heterogeneous treatment groups that may result from random treatment group assignments.
