Abstract
DegreePath is a web-based application that will allow UNH students to easily view their future schedules for each semester up until their graduation. In order to do this, the DegreePath team first collected course and degree program information from UNH websites and stored this information within a database. The team then created a website that interacted with the database, connecting the relevant course information from a user-specified major with the website. The team also created an interactive feature that allows users to input all the courses they have taken at UNH on the website. Additionally, the team created an algorithm that generates future semester schedules until the user qualifies for graduation based on the inputted user course data and the specified major. The project's major deliverables include a 'prerequisite tool' where students can check the prerequisites for any UNH course and a 'schedule tool' where students can generate future schedules. While the prerequisite tool is fully operational and works for any UNH course, the schedule generation tool needs to be improved to factor in course prerequisites more accurately and generate more realistic schedules. However, DegreePath certainly adds value in that students can clearly see a "path" to take any UNH course.
