Abstract

The purpose of this project was to provide more local and timely information about the distribution and severity of flood waters as a result of incoming tides to citizens of Hampton, NH. The pressure and temperature circuitry was meant to be deployed on the streets of Hampton most affected by sunny day flooding in order to achieve this goal. This circuit was developed successfully and had a working code written for it. Time constraints prevented the circuitry from getting deployed, but hopefully deployment can still be accomplished in the future. In place of field deployment data, a controlled experiment was conducted in Chase lab where the sensors were placed in both hot and cold water. This data allowed for the development of a Jupyter Notebook Python code that allowed for graphs of temperature and pressure data to be created.
