Abstract
As a part of the 2020 CLOSES-GAP program we investigated sediment and surficial water data for Kearny Marsh, a freshwater marsh in eastern New Jersey. Contaminant sources were identified through spatial relationships in heavy metal concentrations. Three locations were identified as possible heavy metal polluters: the NJ 1-E Landfill, Keegan Landfill, and Bibbs Auto Parts, an active scrap yard.
