CROWBAR; Modular Wheelchair Levers

Wheelchair levers reduce strain on joins and allow the user to more easily cover rough terrain. This project aims to produce a compact and affordable accessory to the standard manual wheelchair to improve useability. Levered wheelchairs on the market are typically not covered by insurance, and cost more than $2000. Customer discovery showed that among wheelchair users there is demand for a more affordable option. With this information in mind, we are in the process of developing a 3d printed, compact and affordable lever design and break system, which can be attached to any manual wheelchair model.
