Title:

Optimal Weight to Voltage Output Analysis of 3D printed Scalable Wind Turbines

Video

Abstract

We analyzed the differences between data sets of two blade designs for our wind turbine. We created 2 prototypes that varied in weight and tested the different RPM outputs in the student wind tunnel in Kingsbury Hall. With the use of a 3D printer, we varied the weight in the fill structures of our blades. Our goal was to see which turbine was the most efficient, the heavier or the lighter.
