USS Albacore Remote Learning

The Portsmouth Submarine Memorial Association 501(c)(3) is devoted to preserving and spreading awareness of maritime history through their stewardship over the USS Albacore experimental submarine (AGSS-569). For this project PSMA sought to expand their online presence and provide both synchronous and asynchronous online STEM based programming to their community. The project team was tasked with conducting research and development of a solution that would suit their needs. Our goal was to conduct research, formulate a strategic plan, as well as develop a remote learning platform, and publish templates and lesson modules on this platform. The result is a remote learning website developed using Squarespace and other SaaS tools to best integrate with Albacore’s existing web infrastructure. The platform will provide outreach and educational opportunities to their community while assisting their organization with recovering lost revenues due to COVID-19.
