Developing a Fractal Model of Electrical Discharge Trees

The presentation summarizes preliminary work in developing a fractal model of electrical discharge trees, such as lightning. The purpose of the project is to improve our understanding of lightning initiation and propagation, which will be beneficial in understanding how to prevent or minimize damage from lightning strikes. The model is based on earlier work, which we want to reproduce and improve upon. The state of development of the latest evolution of the model and plans to continue development of the model are discussed.
