After attending the Annual Collaborative Family Healthcare Conference "Our Generation Integration" I gained a deeper understanding of whole-person healthcare. Integrating behavioral health into primary care enhances the wellness of individuals and the community as a whole. Additionally, there are also economic benefits of this model of healthcare by reducing the strain on the health system. As treatment of chronic health conditions become more prevalent, preventative and behavioral interventions increase the effectiveness of treatment.
