NextStep GoodLife Features

NextStepHealthTech created the mobile app NextStep GoodLife to increase access and engagement to youth and adolescents for mental health resources and to facilitate conversations about mental health. Our goal this year was to create new features to increase engagement and usage of the NextStep Goodlife app. This will be accomplished with small puzzle games that users can play daily or continuously. We created an application where the User Interface works with ReactNative and JavaScript to generate Word Search, Word Guess, and Sudoku puzzles for users to complete. These were created with the intent of being user-friendly, accessible, and maximizing engagement for the users. It uses the React Native Component-Based Design, which allows us to create reusable components for the entire application. Using React also allows us to dynamically change the styling and view, based on the user's device including web, android, or IOS. Our group was able to successfully integrate into the existing application while also creating a standalone application. The group also created a setup guide with scripts for future teams to have an easier start-up process.
