This project was put forth by McFarland Johnson Inc. for the University of New Hampshire senior design project. The goal of the project was to evaluate three predetermined sites for the construction of a 100’ x 100’ aircraft hangar. Upon selecting the site that was most suitable for the construction of the project it was the role of the team to focus on the design of the hangar itself and the associated site work that was to be proposed. This specific work included the design of the site, the hangar's foundation, the hangar door, erosion control and storm water management. Accompanying those various segments of the project is an engineer’s estimate outlining the overall estimated cost of the project.
