Sunny Day Flooding is a common problem for the citizens of Hampton, NH, which happens when the high tide rises above ground level and seawater begins to encroach or even enter the town, and can reach many inches in height. BRPTs (Blue Robotics Pressure Temerature Sensors) are devices that can measure the temperature and pressure of the environment it is placed in; these are used on location at Hampton to collect data that allows precise measurement of the water level which contributes to further research aimed at helping the citizens of Hampton. However, these sensors were showing problems in their early design such as not being entirely watertight. As a result, new BRPTs were made to eliminate this issue and continue collecting data regarding Sunny Day Flooding.
