Gaps in mental health care have existed in NH and VT. Prior needs assessments show evidence of this gap but lack definitive perspective from providers. Working with the non-profit initiative the Equal Care Fund (ECF), a community needs assessment focusing on a provider-centered survey to evaluate perspectives on mental health care gaps in the Upper Valley (UV) was conducted for this project. This survey was distributed among providers in the UV by email lists and previously obtained contacts. 84 survey results were obtained between 3/7/2022 and 3/29/2022. Majority of results show “access to mental health care” to be the top community health issue among patients in the UV.
